Light carob powder is obtained from carefully dried carob pods that are not subjected to thermal frying. In this way, it preserves its natural lighter color, gentler aroma and mild taste that distinguishes it from dark carob. While roasted, dark carob has a more intense, deeper flavor, light carob is more subtle and therefore ideal for those who like mild, naturally sweet notes.
Due to its mild texture and pleasant taste, it is often used in raw desserts, breakfasts, porridges, smoothies or as an addition to children's meals. It is naturally sweet, so it can reduce the need for additional sweeteners. At the same time, it is rich in fiber and natural minerals, especially calcium, and it also contains antioxidants that contribute to better digestion and the general balance of the body.
Another important advantage of light carob is that it does not contain caffeine or gluten, so it can be used by people who are sensitive to stimulant drinks, as well as those who avoid gluten in their diet.
