Preparation method:
It is recommended to soak green lentils in water before cooking to make them easier to cook. A cup of lentils is poured with 3 cups of water and boiled for 30 minutes. For a better taste, add salt or tamari sauce at the end.
Green lentils with Hokkaido pumpkin
200g of green lentils, 300g of Hokkaido pumpkin, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 leek, 2 bay leaves, 2 cloves of garlic, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and a little salt
Wash the lentils and leave them in water for one hour. Fry leeks in oil, add lentils, bay leaves and cook for 15 minutes. Add the pumpkin cut into cubes and cook for another 15 minutes on low heat until everything is soft. When the dish is ready, add chopped garlic, salt and soy sauce for a better taste. Serve warm with a seasonal salad.
