Flaxseed is extremely versatile and can be used in a variety of sweet and savory dishes and pastries. Apart from cooking, flaxseed is also widely used in simple cosmetic preparations, providing a natural way to care for skin and hair.
Recipe: Integral cookies with flax seeds
These wholemeal biscuits are perfect for a snack or meal, they are rich in fiber and nutrients, and they are easy to prepare.
Ingredients:
- 500 g wholemeal flour
- 1½ teaspoons salt
- Ground pepper to taste
- ½ teaspoon curry powder
- 1 teaspoon ground paprika
- Ground dried rosemary to taste
- 40 g sesame seeds
- 50 g flax seeds
- 30 g sunflower seeds
- 175 ml white wine
- 175 ml of oil
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 250°C.
- In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients (whole wheat flour, salt, pepper, curry powder, ground paprika, dried rosemary, sesame seeds, flax seeds and sunflower seeds). Mix them well so that they are evenly distributed.
- Add the oil and white wine to the bowl with the dry ingredients. Knead the dough until you get a uniform mixture.
- Form a ball from the dough and roll it out into a larger pan. Wet your hands with water and go over the dough a few times to flatten it.
- Cut the dough into squares, like a chessboard.
- Reduce the oven temperature to 220°C and place the cookie sheet on the middle level of the oven.
- Bake the cookies for 25 minutes. After this time, check that they are firm. If they are, take them out of the oven.
