The preparation of Matcha tea and Matcha Latte represents a true art that combines tradition with modern tastes, providing not only the enjoyment of taste, but also an abundance of health benefits. Matcha, a Japanese green tea powder, is known for its high content of antioxidants, especially epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which has powerful anti-inflammatory properties and the ability to improve metabolism and support healthy weight loss. In addition, Matcha contains L-theanine, an amino acid that promotes relaxation and improves concentration and mental clarity without the usual jitters that can accompany caffeine intake.
Preparing Matcha tea properly, at a temperature of 70 to 80 degrees Celsius, ensures that its delicate flavor remains intact while minimizing bitterness. This careful adjustment of water temperature brings out the best in Matcha powder, allowing you to fully enjoy its complex notes.
By transforming traditional Matcha tea into Matcha Latte, we add another dimension to this experience. Using a milk of your choice, such as almond or oat, not only adds a creamy texture and richness of flavor, but also includes additional nutritional benefits. Almond milk, for example, provides an additional intake of vitamin E, while oat milk offers a wealth of fiber. The addition of honey or other optional sweetener can further personalize the taste, providing a slight sweetness that complements the earthy notes of Matcha tea.
Through the process of preparing Matcha tea and Matcha Latte, we not only nourish the body with healthy ingredients, but also calm the mind through the meditative process of preparation. This makes Matcha not just a beverage, but an experience that nourishes the soul, promotes health, and brings moments of peace to our often hectic lives.

Recipe Instructions:
Prepare the matcha tea paste:
The first step in the process of preparing Matcha tea is, of course, choosing a quality powder. Preparation begins with heating the water to exactly 80 degrees Celsius. If you want a milder taste of tea, you can heat the water to 70 degrees. A higher temperature can increase the bitterness of the tea, so it is very important to follow the temperature of the water precisely. While the water is heating, one to two scoops of Matcha powder are placed in a bowl (known as a chawan), depending on the desired intensity. The scoop used is called a chashaku. When the water has reached the appropriate temperature, pour one portion into a bowl. Start with just a little water, just enough to make a paste. The paste is made using a special whisk called chasen, which is usually made of bamboo. After you have obtained a smooth paste, add the rest of the water. After adding the rest of the water, stir the mixture in a quick “W” shape until it forms a nice, silky foam on top.
